[col]Hi There; Even though my Greek is great, my English is even better, so please dont hold it against me, that I am posting my query in English. I am currently in the middle of writing a book. I have found no reference anywhere to the above reference from the 'Book of Enoch' that is written in the Gizeh Fragments. I will post the verse below, and if anyone could give me any kind of information on this topic including a reference to where they got the information I would be very appreciative. Here goes:

Is the passage refering to a name of people/giants, or is it simply describing a type of persons such as: κιβδήλους (adulterers, treacherous, bastards)?

I thank everyone from now who will be able to offer any kind of assistance/knowledge.....

If I am not mistaken it means "bastards".

And to Gabriel said the Lord: Proceed against the bastards and the reprobates, and against the children of fornication

Hi thanks for your reply. It does not mean bastards. Η λεξη 'κιβδηλους' σημαινει 'bastards' και απο αυτην την λεξη εβγαλασιν το 'bastards'. If we look at Syncellus's text which is most definitely a copy of the Greek (Gizah fragments) in which he has added extra stuff of his own (most probably from Jewish myths); we see he wrote the words Giants in the place of 'μαζηρεους' and whatever came before the word 'Giants' is missing from the manuscript. I personally believe that 'μαζηρεους' is a name of mixed creatures that came from the angel/human mixing or if you like a race of giants. I also believe 'κιβδηλους' is referring to some kind of impure breed of humans/humans due to the blood line from Adam being corrupted, because this would fit the definition. I believe the sons of fornication is referring to the main Giants we have been told about initially that came form the watchers and then lastly and as a seperate reference we are told that God tells Gariel to then go to the Watchers. Everything before this is not referring to bastards and humans as we know they are dealt with in the flood not before hand. So has anyone heard of a race of (Giants?) called 'μαζηρεους'?

According to Liddel & Scott Greek - English Lexicon:

Quote:
μαζήρεοι, οἱ,
A bastards, 1 Enoch 10.9. (Hebr. mamzēr.)

Liddel and Scott does not have a rendering of 'μαζηρεοι' and nor is there anywhere else on the web however this is how it should be:

[And unto Gabriel said the Lord: depart unto the 'Μαζηρεους' (A race of Giants by the look of things), unto the mongrels (as in Zech 9:6 K.J but also as in Lev 19:19 LXX), also unto the sons of fornication and destroy the sons of the watchers from man: Guide them into a ruinous war. For length of days shall they not have.]

Thanks for everyones responses to my question.....
